Beer Therapeutic Massage

 About Me

Ever since I massaged my mother's feet as a child to relieve her headaches and leg pain, I have loved caring for people through nurturing touch. I've also had a passion for helping people improve their health and encouraging them to become the best they can be. However, it was not until mid-life that I seriously considered these interests as a career option for me.

I graduated from Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics in June 2009 where I was taught Swedish massage and many other therapeutic techniques. During the summer of 2010 I pursued additional training in active isolated stretching. In 2013 I completed a 100 hour course and became certified in medical massage by Ralph Stephens.  In 2015 I attended an intensive seminar in Raindrop Technique and the use of essential oils in my work. I have found it rewarding to be able to continue to learn and grow as a healer and to improve the quality of life for others through my practice.

In addition to massage, I have also started my own business as an independent distributor for Juice Plus, a nutritional product that offers concentrated fruits and vegetables in a capsule and whole-food shakes and bars. Backed by extensive research and many medical professionals, I am proud to be associated with such a fine product. It has been exciting to see the difference it is making in my own health and in the lives of my customers.

On a personal note, I have been married to my husband Phil for over 41 years and we have four grown children. In addition to spending time with my family, my interests include writing, nature walks, art appreciation, travel, meaningful conversations, women's issues, and riding our Harley with my husband. In becoming a massage therapist, I feel that I am able to live my dream in bringing the best of my talents together with the needs of a stress-filled society to offer healing and encouragement to others.
